Characters of London Fashion Week

At London Fashion week, there are many forms of Characters that make up this crazy time of year. With Ladies from Magazines, arty types, bloggers and Fashion followers, all these contribute to the thriving fashion industry in London town…

The Glam magazine girls
The Magazine crowd are the women we all wish we could be. With their perfect hair, skyscraper heels, new season clobber and designers on speed dial; these girls are the top elite of Fashion week.

How to spot them: These Girls normally dress with minimalism in mind but have some killer accessories. They look spotless but so would you if you had a car to drive you around to each of the shows.

The online social royalty
These creatures are the bloggers. Known for showcasing up and coming designers, wearing kooky accessories and having a camera in their designer bags, the bloggers usually know everyone but sometimes they like to be anonymous themselves.

How to spot them: Bloggers normally position themselves on front row with a camera, poised and ready. Known for wearing big shoes for comfort, they normally don’t stop to chat as they are backed up with appointments and go everywhere on foot (unless they are lucky to have a car to collect them).

The ‘Street style’ wannabes
The Wannabe kids are the ones you see hanging around Somerset house and will be there until menswear day. They normally don’t have any shows to attend but will dress up in very unusual styles in the hope of being spotted and snapped by the street style photographers.

How to spot them: They normally lurk around the surrounding tables and eating spots in Somerset house. They will be looking around for any potential Photographers so if you have a camera, avoid them as they may try and chase you.

The Fashion students
Normally they are the ones looking at everything in awe. With understated trendy clothes, the students are drinking in the whole of London Fashion week and are just happy to be there.

How to spot them: The students normally have standing tickets (unless they know the designer) and will be trying to take pictures of the shows and the Celebs on Front Row. They travel in packs and sometimes take up Street Style Photography as something extra to report on.
