Apersonal: a sweet reward … unexpected?

Apersonal is a Spanish label founded in Barcelona by the Venezuelan Maurice Aymard – also founder of the sacred Galaktika – and Andrés Venegas. They are celebrating their first anniversary which is a good reason to talk a bit more about this Barcelona based music label.

They create illusion in times of scarcity. They bring music that has emerged from the love for a sound as unique as neo-disco, funk or slo-mo house – surprising friends as well as strangers.

Also in music you can find fashion trends. When we all thought that techno-step is marking the current music scene, a wave of remodeled elegant disco makes its appearance.

Artists as important as Mark E, Trujillo, Cisco Cisco, Greg Wilson, Soul Clap or Toby Tobias have all signed with the label. They appear on the album “Mixed remixed Vol. 1” – released to celebrate the labels´ first anniversary. Tracks as “City Celebrity” or “Fruit Punch” showcase the best of the label. We are presented with a cosmic dose of house (listen to the saxophone on “Nothing Wrong With Holding On” from Michael J Collins), synthesized pop dance and even soul, for example in “Brothers In Arms” (LTJ Experience remix).
