For him is almost impossible to hide, he’s the brother of the famous german artist Paul Kalkbrenner. However he’s not exactly in to techno, but in to the music with black roots. It can be either the one we find in soulful, contemporary funk or deep house. He just edited a compilation “Suol Mates” for the music firm Suol. Highly recommended.

Croatian Boat Show
Location: Harbour of Split-Dalmacia (Croatia)
When? From the 7th until the 15th
A week for lovers of good floats, oops, I meant yachts and other nautical crafts. Hundreds stranded at the shores of Split. Of course that’s not the only thing, while the boats float the city is filled with life and color. Especially we invite you to get yourself lost in any of the pop/jazz concerts in the old town. Usually free.

This hall, considered one of the 50 best ones in the world and you can imagine in what kind of building is located, celebrates its Grand Opening. The music will be brought by Art Shumiloff -whom will be the resident artist on Thursdays- and Steve Richards. Nu-disco and house within the walls of the dungeon. Interesting plan.

The energetic Californian quartet is on tour. One of the most attractive stops is the one that will take place in one of the more noticeable venues in Istanbul. Ghetto it’s so well known that the crowd addicted to live shows that lives in this city call themselves “ghettoistas”.

We liked this thing of finding a party or event that plays hide and seek. If in March was the 2020Vision party without definite location, now we adventure to another one which we know the location but we still don’t have a clue of whom the sinners will be. The guys from Raum and the House Republic are the ones in charge of… all this secrecy. Do we dare?

Before or after the live shows which are many and varied. We’ve chosen this one that tastes like neo-soul, latin and jazz. Toguether the vocalist Alice Russell and Quantic form a fantastic combo, a test to warm things up could very well be the album they have together “Look Around the Corner”.

Chinese Man

Just in case you didn’t know them yet, I will introduce them. Chinese Man is a virtuous band in the downbeat and the cut-paste. Specially they eager to give us a good time with funky-hop rhythm that then they put in a shaker with all kinds of musical “samples”, each one more fun than the previous. From the doo wop, ragtime, to swing jazz from the ‘20s. A real show for lovers of surprises.
