Black Music Festival
Where: Salt, Gerona.
When: from 2nd to 30th
Almost an entire month for the lovers of black music to enjoy their passion and to discover the local Rock. The highlight of the festival? The performance of American saxophonist Maceo Parker. Yes, the one playing for James Brown, George Clinton or Sly Stone. Other renowned artists: Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Freak Power, Street Soul Machine and The Brew, an amazing trio whose guitarist (Jason Barwick) is compared to Jimmy Hendrix and Jimmy Page.

Mirko Loko
Where: La Lampara. Trani, Bari. Italy
When: Saturday 3rd
Embedded in the heel of the “Italian boot” we can find Trani. And within it, a magical place called La Lampara. One of these venues that never disappoints and a sure bet if you don’t know where to go. Good terrace, restaurant, wine and … club. Where you will find the Swiss Mirko Loko, the genius behind beautiful creations like “Seventynine” .

Where: Zagreb, Croatia.
When: Sunday 4th
A few miles from the coast and from a tremendous island called Otok Krk, you will find Zagreb, where the ZagrebDox is taking place from February, 26th to March, 4th. It is a Documentary Film Festival that will open new horizons in your cultural world. Some of these movies are dedicated to musicians, like the prodigious violinists Pusker sisters, Sigur Rós or Hole.

This venue is famous for its mastery of the “Booty Shakin Low Slung Badass Electronic Funk”, where black music is remixed as if it were a children’s game, but with the artistry and wisdom of those who know a lot about it.

2020 Vision Warehouse Party con Ralph Lawson
Where: Secret Spot in Barcelona.
When: Saturday 17th
Just as it should be, the 2020 Vision team and the big boss behind it are crazy about Barcelona. So it comes as no surprise that they decided to hold their famous Warehouse Party in a local venue, terrace or theatre. It’s not just about music and dance. The visual art show is amazing. With introductory mottos such as “German do it better” or a pseudonym like “Supermayer”… What would you expect from the usual Kompakt? Everything and more. Oh! And you can go hungry to the event, because they serve Japanese food.

Deep in the night of Malta, there is a heart that beats stronger than the others. It is the one of the club Liquid, where Luca Montellaro (Lucy), sound designer and experienced German artist, will play. He will be with Pfifter presenting a showcase of Stroboscopic Artefacts.

Where: L’Usine. Istres, France.

The British composer and artist will be playing with his boys from Oxymorons in a truly impressive venue. Surrounded by the Mediterranean and by a kind of lake of salty water. We will keep track of this discovery, as his programme is excellent.
