One more year goes by, one more summer welcoming us. Time flies huh! It has been 19 years since the first edition of this famous festival –pride of our land- that acts like a magnet for people all around the world with a desire for Barcelona and great electronic music. This June from the 14th through the 16th we will be visited by really interesting artists. Here is our proposal: Thundercat, Friendly Fires, Lana del Rey, Mouse On Mars, Metronomy, Raisa K, Pegavs, The Suicide Of Westren Cutlure and of course New Order.
The line-up it’s like a king’s feast, a bit of everything. If you don’t like risks with strange and new performances, your show is Lana del Rey (night of Friday 15th) or New Order (night of Saturday 16th). The first one being a great attraction for many reasons, her red lips, her “blue jeans” shorts , but most of all for her music. The model and New York singer Elizabeth Woolridge Grant was recognized with great number of awards last year. She was top lists on half of the globe with her intimal orchestral pop.
And from artist of today to great bands of the past with names in golden letters: New Order, Bernard Summer’s band is without a doubt top leader this 2012 edition. The great influencer to what later has become the electro-synth-pop. How many of you cannot wait to enjoy themselves with hits like “Bizarre Love Triangle” or “Blue Monday”?

Let’s add some base to the sound that always makes us feel so good, and sound that provably many were already dancing to while on their teens, fans of the ‘80s bands Metronomy and Friendly Fires. Both bands offer a fresh and more dance pop, ideal for optimistic people. These bands grow when they perform live and they don’t mind messing up their hair on stage.
As for the rest, they even are more special. Leading the –always martians- Mouse on Mars, which this year they’ve also released a new album, “Parastrophics”; breaking the silence and giving pass to the futuristic electro-punk. Large amounts of Jazz and Soul from the music of the great Thundercat. 100% recommended.

So what’s going on with Raisa K, Pegasvs and The Suicide Of Westren Cutlure?
The first one being the delightful keyboard player from Micachu & The Shapes; who alone experiments -even more- with her music. Finally our best performances of the moment, both placed in the “Ciutat Condal”-Barcelona-. Sergio Pérez García and Luciana Della Villa who form the duo Pegasvs. And the vintage lovers, but not less intense, The Suicide Of Westren Cutlure, who just landed back from participating at the SXSW in Texas, US, Canadian Music Week, and the Great Escape, to claim success in their home land.
*Final note: Fatboy Slim is also welcome to this selection. His party and music can never expire. And in addition he’s a lover of the Mediterranean, and we admit it, we love the photo used for the cover.
